Last Saturday
I went to the monthly Herbalife training session and the guest speaker’s first
words were “We are at war”. And I thought: Yes! That’s how I’ve been feeling
the past two weeks!
I started
promoting my weight loss challenge in July “Swap Kilo’s for Cash – stand a
chance to win R2 000. Starting 14 August 2013”. I was waiting for my
telephone to start ringing non stop. I mean seriously! I am giving you
R2 000 to lose weight in 8 weeks! My phone didn’t ring off the hook;
people were not queuing at my door to enter. And I felt I was losing the war.
Pinky and the Brain are not conquering the world of obesity. People are not
getting the message: losing weight and being healthy are 80% what you put in
your mouth on a daily basis and only 20% exercise. As the guest speaker said,
we are at war with fast food outlets, the check out points filled with sugar
and fat. I started to doubt the whole challenge, wondering if it is worth it.
I got my
answer last night. The 5 ladies who decided they want to invest in their health
came for their first weigh in at the club (a 6th lady joined and I
look forward to her result next week!). They were all very nervous (me too to be
honest!!!) but I knew we would be seeing results. I had armed them with a
container of Herbalife F1 Shake, tips on healthy snacks and balanced dinner
plans and loads of support and encouragement.
The results:
Name Weight
Loss
% Total CM loss %
Ntombi 2.8kg
2.8% 18cm
2.2%
Radhia 2.5kg
3.1% 20.5cm

4.4%
Elsie 1.5kg
2.1% 11.5cm
2%
Shireen 1kg 1.2% 10.5cm

I asked
myself again: is it worth it? And the answer is: Hell Yes!!!!
Corporate Challenge:
In addition
to the above, the results of a Corporate challenge with 4 ladies at a company
in town that started 12 August 2013 (after one week):
